Dear good friends of Bolongo Bay Beach Resort,
Hello from St. Thomas. First, we begin with a Thank You for all the support and love that has been directed towards us, our staff, and the Virgin Islands. As you know, the US Virgin Islands were heavily impacted by Hurricanes Irma, on Septermber 6th, and then, just two weeks later on September 20th, Hurricane Maria, our second category 5 hurricane.
In light of the damage these hurricanes had to our islands, we have made the difficult decision to remain closed to visiting guests for the remainder of 2017 through May 2018. We have been in contact with all future guests regarding their bookings.
Our immediate priorities have been for the welfare of our employees — detailed in our employee support fund below — as well as beginning the clean up & recovery process at Bolongo Bay. In the aftermath of both hurricanes, we have been working to house relief workers sent here to help in the recovery efforts.
For everyone with reservations: We began our cancel and refund process and are offering anyone who wishes to rebook an extra 20% credit towards their deposit for a future stay. For any questions, please email us at reservations@bolongobay.com.

Bolongo Bay Staff Support Fund
Based on the outpouring of support and desire to help our employees, we have established a fund to support our staff members whose lives have been greatly affected. Our staff, through their daily embodiment of positivity, service, love and happiness, has always created a unique human experience at Bolongo Bay.
Since the day we first opened our doors over 40 years ago, we’ve said that Bolongo Bay is more about who we are than what we are. Now, we’re giving our guests the opportunity to help the amazing people who made their vacations so memorable.
100% of the money from this fund will go back to helping our staff.
Many of our staff were impacted by these storms in a multitude of ways, including property damages and the complete destruction of homes. Some have been faced with difficult decisions to leave island. Others have moved in with family. Many children aren’t yet able to attend school. Most of the island’s infrastructure that makes day-to-day life possible has been halted.
The purpose of this fund is to provide assistance to our employees who are facing difficult times in the aftermath of hurricanes Irma and Maria.
