August 17th Update: Due to New Travel Restrictions issued banning leisure travel in the US Virgin Islands, Bolongo Bay Beach Resort will have to close for a little more than a month and will reopen again on October 1st. Per the Governor of the US Virgin Islands, various new travel restrictions have been implemented for residents and visitors starting on Wednesday, August 19th to help stop the spread of Covid19.

Hi friend,

From all of us at Bolongo, we hope you’re well. We want to share the latest update from the U.S. Virgin Islands Government in regards to the territory’s Coronavirus Travel Policy. We want you to be informed, especially if you are planning or considering an upcoming trip to the U.S. Virgin Islands, so we will make sure to always share these new restrictions and updates as soon as they become available to us.

Starting Wednesday, July 15, the USVI will require a negative COVID test within five (5) days of travel from any state with a positivity rate of 10% or higher.

Currently, the states this applies to are:

Alabama
Arizona
Florida
Georgia
Idaho
Kansas
Mississippi
Nevada
South Carolina
Texas

Anyone with questions regarding the Travel Policy is encouraged to call the Government hotline at 1-800-372-8784. Individuals who do not show test results or take a test locally must go into a 14-day quarantine. A test can be administered once you arrive in the USVI. After two weeks, the new travel policy will be reassessed to determine whether states need to be added to or removed from the list. This does NOT apply to travelers who are passing through states, such as to change planes.
